The Saudi Advisory Group Against Stroke and the Bangladesh Medical Association conducted a successful joint scientific medical symposium in Riyadh. The event took place in Marriot Hotel, on Thursday, December 23, 2004. The event was conducted under the auspices of Prof. Hussain Al-Freihi, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties,  and the Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

The objectives of this meeting were:

  • Support local non-Saudi medical organizations in conducting scientific events.

  • Create new channels for Saudi and Bangladesh physicians to communicate.

  • Explore the Bangladesh medical experience in Saudi Arabia.

  • Continue to increase the awareness about stroke treatment and prevention.

150 Bangladesh physicians, working in Saudi Arabia, attended this activity and were involved in an interesting discussion on the topics presented.
